The briefing to all should cover:
- Golden rule – stay with the boat
- Weather forecast
- Any shipping movements likely
- Training area(s), channel (to avoid)
- Lee shore dangers eg spanish battery & potters rocks, pier
- Level of reefing / rig sizes / Mast head floats
- The number of boats in the charge of each safety boat
- Training exercise aims
- Signals to trainees (home, to me)
