Notice of Race<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, 2026<\/mark><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
1. Venue<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Tynemouth Sailing Club, Priors Haven, Tynemouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racing to be held at sea or on the Tyne Estuary, depending upon conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to the water from Priors Haven, Tynemouth<\/a>, on the north bank of the Tyne Estuary adjacent to Tynemouth Priory. Changing and refreshment facilities available in the Clubhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Programme<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

(1). Six races programmed over the two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2). First race on Saturday: Start at 2.00 pm. Second and third\u00a0races to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3). First race on Sunday to start at 10.30am.\u00a0\u00a0Two further races to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4). No warning signal after 3.00pm on Sunday 26th April<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Tides<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

High Water at 11.00hrs on Saturday 25th<\/sup>\u00a0April and 12.19hrs on Sunday 26th<\/sup>\u00a0April<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Racing Rules<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the current Racing Rules of Sailing<\/a> (RRS)and the Sailing Instructions (SI\u2019s).  In the event of any inconsistencies between this Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions; the Sailing Instructions<\/a> will prevail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The (30%) Exoneration Penalty and Arbitration of RRS Appendix T will be available to competitors. See official Notice Board for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Entry and registration<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Enter on line via Tynemouth SC Spond site by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late entry also available on the day at TSC Clubhouse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry Fee:<\/strong>  \u00a340.00 per boat if entered before 6.00pm on Saturday 18th<\/sup> April. Fee increased to \u00a345.00 <\/strong>after this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Briefing<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

There will be a briefing in the clubhouse at 1.00pm on Saturday 25th<\/sup>\u00a0April<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Courses<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Racing at sea: Windward-Leeward, Triangle, P-course at sea, or Harbour Courses: in adverse weather conditions. A map of marks in the estuary is available by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Scoring<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

If four or more races are sailed, one result may be discarded. Scoring as per Appendix A low point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Insurance<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Each boat shall have Third Party insurance to a sum of not less than \u00a33,000,000.                                                                                                                                                                            <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Apres Sail<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Competitors, their family and friends are encouraged to gather at the clubhouse for a pie supper (additional charges apply)\u00a0 after sailing on Saturday evening. The bar will also be open for liquid refreshment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. Photo consent<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Competitors should note photographs of the event may be used for publicity or social media posts by the organisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
