The sailing should start around 12pm (depending on weather conditions). Ideally we would arrive at 11.30am at Nellys Moss Lake with the boats.
There is a disabled toilet next to the playground (300m away from where we launch the boats), that we can use to change. We would park our cars and trailers there after we launched the boats. Not sure about the max. numbers of boats, but it will be fairly cramped with more than 6…? As the event should go on until 4pm, it might make sense to share boats and take turns. Wolfgang is checking if the sailors get free entrance to Cragside.
Wolfgang is happy to provide some food/drinks for the keen sailors who show up. Ideally he would know how many people/boats are coming by mid next week & will ask if we can have a BBQ there. Maybe we can take along the BBQ from the club? If not I will bring sandwiches or something similar.
His plan is to pick up his boat & trailer at Tynemouth at 10.30am & could take another Laser on top of mine (he has some gear that would allow that) and can take other sailors along in my car as well. Does any of you want a lift – if so get in touch with Wolfgang direct
